We did the circular (easier) route of Catbells - along the lower path to Hause Gate then up. Had the advantage of it being a beautiful clear and sunny day and beautiful views.
I was really pleased with how well I managed, given that I’ve done next to no hill walking. Hope to do a bit more this year

Catbells is on my list of climbs I most want to do. It's very easy GM. There's a reason it's the fell where you can you take the whole family with you. You can make the descent exciting if you want, the fast grassy terraces to the right (if you're heading in the direction of Keswick) avoid most of the rocky steps, it's the line most take on the Anniversary Waltz fell race.

I went up Catbells from Keswick and down the other side, had a lovely time and met up with a group of school kids climbing and chatted along with them 😀

Can’t even think where it is and I’ve cycled about there a good few times.

In general it’s a nice area not far from me.

Camped there in the tent several times a few years ago, haven't been in the van.
From what I remember it is a well laid out site with the river running at the back of some of the pitches. Pretty close to the main road but don't think that will be be too much of an issue in the van or at this time of year. E
