Just noticed this thread (which is timely!) Toying with the idea in the next 18 months or so of a MotorHome or been seen loads of Van Conversions. What are pros/cons? Does anyone have a ballpark for a Van Conversion (I know the spec will make a difference)
I have always thought of a static at a place I love but now thinking being 'free' would be better

We had notification yesterday that the campsite where weâve booked our main holiday in June has had to close due to a âcatastrophicâ plumbing failure and donât foresee being reopened before September. đ

Blimey. It must have been catastrophic. DL, I would recommend you look at as many different layouts as you can and talk to owners and then get a list of priorities- some will be non-negotiable others can be compromised.

Daz, some people recommend hiring a vehicle for a weekend do a to try it out. A friend of mine got bitten by the whole VW camper thing and spent a fortune. She only had it for a year and has now decided that she needs more space (and onboard toilet facilities) and is buying a bigger motor home. She probably hasn't lost any money due to demand pushing up prices, but it's a bit of a hassle.

Thatâs frustrating, ER. I hope you can find somewhere else that suits.
