Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Just noticed this thread (which is timely!) Toying with the idea in the next 18 months or so of a MotorHome or been seen loads of Van Conversions. What are pros/cons? Does anyone have a ballpark for a Van Conversion (I know the spec will make a difference)

I have always thought of a static at a place I love but now thinking being 'free' would be better :)

We had notification yesterday that the campsite where we’ve booked our main holiday in June has had to close due to a “catastrophic” plumbing failure and don’t foresee being reopened before September. 🙁

Blimey. It must have been catastrophic.
DL, I would recommend you look at as many different layouts as you can and talk to owners and then get a list of priorities- some will be non-negotiable others can be compromised.

Daz, some people recommend hiring a vehicle for a weekend do a to try it out. A friend of mine got bitten by the whole VW camper thing and spent a fortune. She only had it for a year and has now decided that she needs more space (and onboard toilet facilities) and is buying a bigger motor home. She probably hasn't lost any money due to demand pushing up prices, but it's a bit of a hassle.

That’s frustrating, ER. I hope you can find somewhere else that suits.
