I’m finding that the trend is to make everything “luxury” = more expensive rather than more comfortable= space. I don’t want a big fridge and a microwave, I want more storage and moving around room
Rather taken by the new westfalia/transit though

We’ve never used our microwave. In our last MH we had it removed and a door fitted over to use as a cupboard.
In our new MH it’s not so easy to remove the microwave, so we’ve unplugged it, taken out the turntable and use it as a cupboard too.

Ha ha :)
We use our microwave but also use it to store things, typically bread and crumpets.

We don’t miss a microwave and would always rather have more storage instead. The one thing I wish our MoHo had was 2-way heating, so it could be powered by mains not just gas. My current workaround is to take a little electric fan heater.

The MoHo we're wondering about doesn't have a microwave. It does have a bigger fridge than our old van, which we're quite pleased about.
We'd also like more daytime space, and think a drop-down bed might be the way to go for us.

We've heard of people taking small oil filled radiators too Cath.
Our old van didn't have heating, so we also took a small fan heater if we had electric hook-up.

Funny how easy it is to undervalue the bits you have and lust after the bits other people have ...

Our VW campervan has a small grill beneath the gas burners. The grill pan is large enough for two pieces of sliced bread. We hardly ever use it.

Apparently some owners have had a small microwave fitted in that space and I think this would be a lot more useful (although heavier on electricity consumption too).

We’ve got a little oven and grill that others would lust after too. I’d definitely take that over a microwave, and it takes about the same space.

It will be interesting seeing what is available tomorrow to see what else I can think were compromising, but I’d like to say we made a great choice if the only thing I can complain about is the heating (and the size, of course, but that’s MoHos…)

We use a Ridge Monkey in place of a grill in our campervan. Works really well for toasting bread which is pretty much all we would use a grill for.

Apparently you can do pizza in them if you don’t mind it cut into squares.

We barely use a microwave at home and then it’s mainly for reheating food or warming milk, which we do in a pan in the camper.
