I managed to get my readings in this morning (EON) and I could select the date of the readings :-)

Normally I get an immediate cost for Electricity and a pending cost for Gas which gets confirmed in a few days time. I didnt see anything yet so just need to wait.

What I did note is that my usage in the last month for both is quite a bit down on the previous month. Granted its not been as cold and needing heating, but suggests our energy saving measures are working

interesting - my account has been updated. I was in £140 credit after readings at end Feb and my March payment was increased by £55 and is due to increase by another £75 from April.

However my credit has increased by c£60 :-) Looks like in March I used less than my monthly payment, albeit I know the cost as of today spikes.

I will submit end April readings and see how things look

I still can't get my E.On reading submitted.

Looking back at their friendly email raising my bill, I note they predicted my yearly bill would go up approx £600, but my monthly bill up by £100.

So I'm looking forward to finding another company and telling E.On to FRO. I don't expect to find a cheap deal, obviously, but it'll be nice to be shot of those bandits, especially in light of their Twitter post (since deleted) yesterday.

I am hoping with my new readings they may reduce my direct debit a little although I might just take the current payment on the chin as it might get worse in october as the winter hits

I'm with Octopus and they say they'll adjust/increase their tariff (I'm on variable) tomorrow.

I bought my current hovel for its location as much as for anything else, but an EPC rating of A and a big pv array mean that I'm reasonably shielded until the next increase later in the year. That's when it'll bite me. In the meantime my electrickery costs (no gas) are about £350 a year.

Finally got my new standard tariff DD of £162, up from £104. They wanted me to take a fixed tariff of £350 pm!

Octopus's website tells me that my standing charge has gone up to about 50p a day but the unit cost seems unchanged. And my smart meter isn't reflecting the higher standing charge. Maybe it takes a few days to retune the meters.

We’ve had word from our energy company that our direct debit from April onwards will be double the current amount. How’s everyone else fared?
