Sure I've asked this before, but what way round should my debit and credit column be, or doesn't it matter?
I have debit then credit - and I'm sure I did it that way round for a reason. Santander statements download as "Money in" then "Money Out"...

Debit on the left. Old joke is it's the one nearest the window.

Thanks. I suspect I had it that way round because I’ve asked you before, in which case sorry.

What's the term again for an account that isn't really an account but a column in a spreadsheet? I was going to phone Glenn but I'm not sure how to do that from my laptop.
It'll come to me if I type long enough

Duplicate post on retirement thread and accounting-for-non-specialists thread - sorry ----
One has a SIPP. One 'crystallises' (?) the tax free bit and this is called a PCLS (pension commencement lump sum), yes?
What's the rest of it called? Does it have a technical name?

Not that I know of. Even the terminology for PCLS is different on my accounts.
