I’ve done mine and my mum’s readings today, via an online form, due to the provider’s app and account logins being inundated.
I had also updated them both at the weekend, so kinda had a bridging read, in case it proved impossible today.
That said, my assumption is that they would still be required to charge the pre April 1st rate on any energy deemed to have been used before. So, submitting a reading over the next few days would still allow a reasonable approximation of when the new tariff should kick in.
As a result of my reads earlier in the week, I had my first account statement since being forcibly switched to BG back in September. Ouch!

I put a reading in yesterday, but got an error message. When I finally got online to do it again it said I was up to date and they didn’t need a reading - but the system is overwhelmed and can’t show me what reading they have.
I’ve taken pics tonight in case I need to argue later
I’m wondering how many of today’s readings were, as someone advised me to do, a little “inflated” to take advantage of a lower rate and if that would actually work/help?

Managed to get Bulb readings submitted. App reported error but I got emails confirming both gas and electricity had been received so fingers crossed it did actually go through!

I just submitted my reading without isdues. SO energy. Just looked at my annual statement that came at the beginning of the month. My estimated bill until.feb 23 is about the same as I pay now. I think I must have fixed my tariff for 2 years when I changed to SOenergy last year...
