The cat has moved from my OH's lap downstairs to the upstairs landing, by the radiator. The heating isn't on yet. I think it's his way of telling us he wants the heating on now, please. 😺

Plenty warm enough here, but Inhave a blanket on my feet as I stupidly went out to the garage without shoes on and my feet got really cold!
Heating doesn’t go on before half term, that’s always been the ‘rule’ here. Might be time to get the big fluffy dressing gown out for the morning though!

I find it always a bit easier to hold off putting on the heating in the autumn and more of a challenge to wean myself off it in the spring.

Next 3 nights here in Devon forecast to be down to 6 or 7 degrees so I'm going to put my heating on tonight. I have Economy 7 and it felt quite chilly when I got up for my early run.

Thermostat in the hallway alleges 18 degrees here - and that's with front and back doors open. Have to say it doesn't feel like it.
My issue in the winter if WFH is always cold hands, so I have fingerless gloves, a hot water bottle and plenty of hot drinks to keep them warm.
I've been monitoring my electricity usage over the last couple of weeks. It's around 6kWh per day. Our annual estimated usage is 16kWh, based on three people being here instead of just one as it is now. Hoping they'll see sense and reduce the DD amount.

Think I'm likely to lose the heating battle soon. Wanted to make it to October, but partner pointing out that she is sleeping in 2 layers and wants the winter duvet on. Might get me a few more days if I agree, but our lounge gets chilly and this morning felt cold up here.

We're still OK. I was a bit chilly one evening this week but it occurred to me that I could try wearing more than a t-shirt, shorts and sandals.
