We're thinking of popping in to see F-i-L when we have an errand in the right area. It will be a brief tea in the garden job (and it's assuming the weather plays ball) and we've been extremely well isolated ourselves. Much more risk of catching it off him than vice versa I'd expect.

Ultra Sparkly Bridget (USB)
Our local disability service has made the point that the advice for those shielding is 'can' go out not 'must' and no one should feel obliged to change their current behaviour.

Mr USB starts a job at a different hospital tomorrow. Positives are that he does not need to get a train into London daily and will only be in 3 days a week. One of his first actions will be to get his manager to complete his risk assessment so that he cannot be redeployed.

I wonder whether each new de-restriction is a group of activities that are deemed to have a similar risk - therefore if they are relaxed at the same time they will be re-tightened at the same time.

Sadly, I don't think the government is sufficiently aware - despite having DC adequately demonstrating for them - just how stupid the general population is!

I hope Dorset and Cumbria and Derbyshire locals managed to stay away from the idiots that appear to have invaded them this weekend.

And before I get shot down by the #fetchpolice.

That is an observation, not a polical statement.

Spent today making a mask. Fucking depressing but mrS has to go for a jab tomorrow and the surgery texted last night to say they were asking everyone to wear a mask from now onwards. I think it’s not just the SD changes it’s also financial: they were providing them foc. I’m such a rubbish seamstress it took hours. He will have five weeks of treatment starting in a fortnight.
