Yep, I agree. If others want to behave stupidly, then there's not a great deal you can do about it.

I agree too. We have talked about new shrubs but despite garden centres being open the thought of traveling to one last weekend never crossed my mind. I am moving into a mode of 'protect myself and my family while ignoring the behaviour of others unless it directly impacts on us'. Hoping to reduce stress that way.

I'm trying to do the same Bridget but occasionally I get really peed off about being the one who's always trying to do the right thing (sometimes to my detriment) whilst the muppets carry on regardless.

Yes certainly: it's still in my personal interests to avoid the illness even though my risk of death is very low. There seems to be a proportion of survivors who have significant after-effects with unknown long-term outcome and I quite fancy another couple of decades of marathoning. I may be more flexible and adventurous about outdoor time though and will start OWS when it's possible/convenient.

Rather than detailed rules, there may be a lot to be said for the Japanese "three Cs" approach: avoid closed areas, crowds, and close contact/conversation. In comparison, the number of people in a garden seems a rather inconsequential detail really.

I am pretty much staying the same - other than the duration of some of my exercise, so far I've actually been stricter than the original rules and done all exercise solo. But tomorrow I'm going out for a ride with another member of my household (could have done this before, but our training plans didn't really coincide) and we'll probably even stop at a takeaway cafe. I haven't stopped on any of my rides since February so this will be a luxury!

But it's easy for us - we can both work from home, we have a garden and bikes, and we don't see family that often anyway (my dad lives abroad so I'm used to not seeing him for months at a time).

We will continue with the same apart from I will meet 5 friends in a garden , carefully distanced for a couple of hours and unlikely to meet again for at least 3 weeks.

I'd also like to do some small low-key races as and when it's possible, though that seems a little way off still. I suspect the rise in cases (assuming it happens) may scare them off any more rule changes though.

ive had the odd walk with one friend at a time over the last couple of weeks, but frankly don't fancy meeting more than that or hanging around in anyones garden as its not something i normally do. So i will carry on the same
