Is that right EP? I am not at all tempted, I will stick with running with Jigs and on occasion running or walking with just one (the same) friend, not at all ready to run with a group of friends.

The sports training idea seems madness! Even with the best intentions will 6 people be able to maintain SD once they're having fun?

Quite enjoyed Professor Van Tam's response re DC, bloody obvious that he would have sacked him if it was his decision ;-)

I am not remotely worried about myself. But I do have a responsibility towards my patients.

Mind you I wear PPE with them. I hate doing so

Easing lockdown is one thing, but the way it's being done makes no sense. Surely it would be better to ease things in a controlled manner, and only things that can be monitored?
So yes, I support schools returning. Easy to track and trace within bubbles, teachers can control who goes where and when. I also support pubs opening, maybe daytime/early evening only to serve drinks and snacks (via collection areas) in a beer garden. Again, pub staff can control numbers and declare when their space is full. Most shops,no, please keep them closed, aisles are too small and people will loiter.
Yet allowing "gatherings" is wishy washy. Who is policing it? By the time any dispersal order is made, it's too late. I've seen crowds of teens/young adults socialising in the parks. Maybe only 6 but definitely closer than 2m and highly unlikely to be from just 2 households. Why have people stopped listening?
I still don't feel it's right for me to drive 50miles to meet my bereaved friend. Even to meet in the park.

Last night at work I went to a poorly man. Probably not Covid actually but could have been. Wife was surprised we asked her to stay in a room downstairs and close the door while we were there. And some time later shouted up "tell him his sister has just arrived to see how he is". WTAF??? Stern words were had, but we are not the police.

People have given up. Even poorly ones are in denial that it won't happen to them. The message just isn't working any more 🙁

So sorry, Mandy.

My mum just fell and broke her arm the other night. Virtually two days in hospital. She's home now, but I'm worried for her and my dad now. Hospitals are not very safe place at the moment. A nervous couple of weeks.
