Not my knowledge L. There is a risk that the original owner of the bars might see it if there was!

I'll let them go cheap, so they should sell.

If i was mainly on the road would i notice the difference between mechanical and hydraulic disk brakes?

Worth an extra £100?

I've used both and like mechanical disk brakes - adjustable and modulate well enough.
Hydraulic comes into its own if you want to brake with 1 finger or if your hands are getting numb from cold or whatever.
1 finger braking on rough downhill roads is worth it for me. Would be overkill for riding around town though.

IME I'd go for hydraulic, though I do have mechanical on my diverge. Is this for a road or mountain bike lammo?

I'd say hydraulic as if you wanted to upgrade at a later date it will cost more than £100 as they require a dedicated lever/shifter. But as I said earlier I've got cable disc on my bike and find they work fine.

Any recommendations for a front light for a road bike?

I currently have a meilian X1 which is about about 260 lumen
aliexpress.com

Light itself is high quality but the clamp is cheaply made. It's not bright enough to pick out lumps and bumps on my commute - especially at speeds over 30kph so I want to get something brighter. Bonus if it can be mounted it a go pro mount - most brands have an adapter - that way I can mount under the garmin / off the bars.

Not sure how bright I need. I don't think 400 lumens is enough which puts me in £100 region. Cateye and bontranger look good. Not sure if 800 is good enough or I should be considering 1000+ ?

I commute 1 hour each way starting at 7AM/PM on average

I've got one of these: evanscycles.com

Twin Cree LED with claimed 1100 lumen

Not had it that long so can't comment on durability of mount but the light itself can be blindingly bright
