Very proud of this one. I was given the bake off recipe book for my birthday and this is the first recipe in the book and cover picture and really took my fancy. When we went to Stokholm I loved the Semla cake which had cardamon. This is a sugar and spice cake. Ginger cake with ginger honeycomb and cardamon Swiss meringue butter cream. It’s the first time I’ve attempted honeycomb and had it work and the guest time attempting Swiss meringue buttercream. This is going to work tomorrow as my bake off sweep stake bake. I’m not knocked out yet but our office closes this week so last chance to bake for colleagues. |
