Help!! I decided to make a triple batch of the relish. It says allow to bubble for 40 mins til syrupy. 45mins and nowhere near syrupy. Will it need longer because it's a bigger batch?? Can you over cook it?? I've had trauma with jam before and can't afford to stuff this up as it's for christmas hampers.

I gave it a bit longer, jarred it up, panicked that I'd not left it long enough, tested it a couple of hrs later......it was perfect!! Delicious. Lucky I made a big batch, so I can have some without depriving my family
