only 1 jar you say?? Now that could be a treat for dad! Could I reduce the sugar? he's diabetic!! Feel like a baking weekend - new freezer (well 2nd hand from MIL) to fill and it is Christmas. Going to do something for work but 1 lady is Vegan. Any nice/easy treat recipes please? |

That's good to know sherry. I may make a double batch but use small jars so I get 3/4??? Who mentioned biscotti? Have emailed friend for his fantastic biscotti recipe but he has gone awol.. If someone has a good recipe I'd welcome it |

Hmmm husband's mum loves the relish but it does have a lot of sugar - I'm sure you could reduce it but not sure how that would affect the "stickiness". On the other hand, you only need a small spoonful to enjoy it. Biscotti - mine are in the oven right now. This is the recipe I use: bbcgoodfood.com |

well if she's OK then it may be worth a crack! How long does it last in the fridge? An age I assume

Both biscotti recipes look good but think I'll save the choc one for later as we already have chocolate truffles going in the hamper. The boy wants to make cup cakes now as well mostly because he got a new piping bag at the weekend and is desperate to use it again. He's not even 10 yet!!!!

What I love about that bbc link is that I got a pop up saying 'How we use cookies'. That was very confusing at first!

yes the relish lasts for ever and ever (well maybe not quite "for ever" but certainly with all that sugar and vinegar, it lasts months rather than weeks or days)
