Hope it goes well WW
I had a 5k in the club series (my fave one) tonight but my boy had injections so I want to be at home in case he’s unsettled/ill later.
Tried to replicate it myself at home, I was crap. Eyeballs out I could only manage last months 10k pace, and slower than my last very hilly 5k. Pretty gutted about that, I felt heavy and slow. How much do you think humidity might affect time? It does feel quite humid.

All the best WW. I hope that you get a better result than last week. (Not that I’m wishing you to beat Fizzz. I’m not taking sides 😀).

Replicating at home never works (IMHO). Running with others always adds a bit of zest, even if it's "only" a parkrun.

It was very close out there GF but I'd go with what Columba states. We ran Friday and was total rubbish. Stick with and hope you boy is ok.
Anyhoo, back to news of tonight and my 5th attempt at 60%+. I'm pleased to report I've posted 61.66% at 40.11 for the Harborough 5.
Gone are the days when I could get a deck chair out waiting for Fizz to finish. She came in just two places behind me.
Grief I'm slow!

Gymfreak - it's virtually impossible to run at race pace during a training session. That adrenaline just isn't there. High humidity is like running through treacle too.
WW - great result.
