Well done LG 👏👏👏. That’s very, very nearly 61% so more than “just squeezed in”.

Tomorrow night is the last in the series of four Sri Chinmoy Self Transcendence races.
I shall be racing primarily against myself, as it’s the second three mile race. In the first I managed 65.72%, so I would dearly like to improve on that, even by .01%. The forecast looks favorable so fingers crossed 🤞

You go smash it ER and let us know how you get on.

Well done LG. You are well over the 60% line.

My thoughts turn to Tuesday night and the Weedon 10k. It's hilly, I've raced 4 in the series and somewhat fatgued judging by our parkrun efforts on Saturday.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

I didn’t achieve my target, but I found it difficult to focus on the running whilst clenching my buttocks trying to avoid an accident! I’d had an upset tummy for most of the day but thought that I was ok come 7pm. It would seem not!

This resulted in a time seventy two seconds slower than the last three mile in the series which meant a 62.62% score 🙁

The upside is that this last race did not score in the Grand Prix series, so my position tonight didn’t matter....... and I came first out of 14 in the series V60 category 😀

There should be a special category for the abdominally challenged.

Core work for the buttock ER. Got to have secondary benefits to your running.

Tonight is the toughest round of the EMGP Weedon 10k. If I can pull this one off I'll be surprised and happy.

ER - finishing without having an 'accident' is far more creditable than a high WAVA. And you still won your vets category. Hope you're feeling OK now.

WW - that looks a great course, good luck

Sorry to report EMGP round 4 Weedon 10k didn't results in a 60%+ WAVA. Only managed 59.13%. Very disappointed. My HR suggested I put the effort in but didn't end in the result I wanted. A little disappointed.

But as Steve Way says 'It's only running'.

In over 10 years of racing I've never posted a time slower than my wifi Fizz. That changed last night when she truly beat me. I'm really very pleased for her fantastic effort. She was strong.

WW - that's still a good effort on a hilly course. Maybe slightly dented male pride, great running by Fizz.
