I think my first km was also 4:11. I paid the price, on top of a 10km race, the heat/humidity and general fatigue resulted what I thought was an 'average' performance, but when checking the results still 69%+ WAVA, so no complaints.

Just checked the GPS uploaded trace and the 1st kilometre was 4:28!!! But I'm sure when I pased the 1km marker my watch said 4:11. However the GPS claims my last kilometre was 4:04!!!!

23.20 for my parkrun today, first time at Belton House. I got progressively quicker but I've got mile splits as I didn't change my Garmin. 7.47 7.30 7.16 6.16 pace for 0.12 mile There's improvements to be made. |

I do seem to do them frequently at parkrun, I enjoy starting at the back and working through at my local chatting or passing comments as I go, consequently the first mile is generally slow and then building to a fast last mile. I really should start at the front one week and give it my best shot for a change.

Good pacing FF. My splits go the other way, but the course starts to get hard at halfway. Need to run a flat course. Got exactly the same time as last week 24:11. An extra 50 or so runners today, but not many people around me in the 2nd half as last Saturday. Last week 7:34 7:43 8:07 6:11 pace for 0.13 This week 7:30 7:42 8:09 6:18 pace for 0.13 |

23:01 today for a first return to parkrun in a while. I'm wondering about another go at PJ while I might have a speedwork buddy to see if I can get it down a wee bit
