GG, glad you had nothing happen to you, except for the shock. Do keep safe and take extra precautions. Thankfully things should be safer when the lighter evenings come. I hope Kev soon recovers OK.

Thanks guys. I ran home last night a week after the 'event' I have to say I am a million times more observant than 8days ago.
Kev is doing well and apparently his biggest concern was me and what could have happened had I been there shows what kind of man he is. Otherwise he's doing ok and the man responsible has been charged.
I ran in again today so 10.5m in technically one day. Happy with that.
Thank you again x

Geordiegirl - your experience certainly puts in perspective that most of us (I hope) have somewhere safe to run. At the same time I think ther is a reminder for vigilence for us all esp when running on our own just to be aware of the location, route, conditions, time of day.
I hope you and everyone enjoy many miles of safe running and your friend recovers quickly.

geordiegirl - glad it's not put you off entirely and that your friend is on the mend already.
Just having someone hoot at me, plays on my mind sometimes (even though I try to take it as a compliment)
Did a longish one on Sunday and a nice 5k this morning to get back on track. Today's was at a swiftish pace without feeling I was pushing that hard, which was good for the ego. Will plan another longish one for Sunday and try to catch up a bit more.

Thanks all. I ran home Wednesday and back in yesterday. Take more than a crazy man to put me off haha.
Nutso I work in defence too work is very clear we shouldn't wear company logos out of work and having done many exhibitions I'd never consider it. It's daft though that they give us clothes with logos on as it can attract the wrong attention.

Geordie I did wonder if you did, I don't for the most part save my fleece if I gave no choice, but it's difficult for the lads wearing polo shirts etc. I remember leaving dsei 2 years ago when the police were having to wrestle death on the platform! All it takes is one nutter

Just over 11 miles this morning - first time out in three weeks. A bit of a struggle, particularly with some hills. Not a good run if I'm honest as I was more interested in distance covered rather than the quality of the run itself.

Dsei puts a lot of personal security into perspective. First one I did there was protestors threatening to jump in the Thames !!
Lovely 4.5m run this morning 1.3m with Ellie then came back and collected Tom did 3.2 with him. Lovely to run with the dogs again.
