1.9 this morning because it was serious brass monkeys (and I wanted to watch the tennis live scores).

Forgive me fellow runners, I binned this morning's frosty run in favour of staying in bed.

Morning gang sorry I've not been around but this bliddy cough is still killing me. And been back on my travels with work.

Had planned to have yesterday off and push myself for a run but events overtook and I had to work :(. Cough was horrendous last night so good job I didn't.

Might try a plod tomorrow. Back to Oman on Thursday so not much opportunity to do a lot more this month. Gutted my 50-60 mile plan will be lucky to 20 actual.

This morning I had intended doing a series of 800m. reps, but because 'it were rare cold' out at 8am, I decided against speed work and settled for 5.5 miles at a brisk pace. The temperature at -3 deg. C was cold for this part of the South Wales Tropics. (We are only 600ft above SL, but 3 or 4 miles away on the Beacons it would have been much colder still.) I am beginning to wonder if my trusty shorts are becoming a little unsuitable for these colder days.

Very tempted to stay in bed this morning but managed to get up after 20 minutes persuading myself that I will benefit in the long run - literally!

Managed 10 miles despite it being incredibly cold. It's only my hands that ever feel the cold and they were numb despite wearing gloves although the rest of me was warm as toast when I got home.

Another group for another year, but whether you're aiming for 500 or more or less lets just have a nice little social group to share our goals and running antics.

Everyone is welcome, whether you don't want to set an official target or you may be aiming further but still want to pop by for a chat/offer some words of wisdom or just because the door is always open and kettle is on.

Target miles Link http://www.fetcheveryone.com/training-mileagetargets-filtered.php?category=RUN&mileage=500

to set your mileage:

Go to the Train tab

scroll down to where it says - annual mileage targets

there should be a little box to the right in red, click for run and add your mileage.

Race Planner docs.google.com

(When you go in give yourself a colour so I know you're wanting to be on the sheet so I can keep it tidy)

If you update the race planner after I've updated the header drop me an fmail or a reminder (or 2) on the thread so I know to update. Thanks
