Managed to get 9 miles done this morning despite the rain/drizzle. Ice on the pavements meant doing some running in the road and trying to avoid slipping was the main objective.
My back threatened again around 3 miles but I had almost completed all the climbs by then and was able to enjoy the run from there on with no more pain.

Managed to scratch together a very wet 5km this morning - that's the weekly target met though. As my colleague reminded me - the hard miles make the good ones! (Although karma is thus far absent this year!)

S Phil, that was good going. I was glad I hadn't got a run planned when I saw the weather. Will aim for a slightly longer one tomorrow to make up for a short one yesterday (if I get up in time).

Well done everyone. It's early days, so that mileage will pick up gradually as we take this journey through 2017.

Another go at my 2.22 mile loop tonight and a minute faster than last week so happy with that!
Great work SP, think it'll be a while until I'm back up to 9 milers though!
Dobbie, deffo in right direction!
Grast-girl, I love running in the rain, much better than sweating your proverbials off in sweltering heat!
Nutso, glad to hear you're on the mend!

Strut - I don't usually mind running in the rain, as long as it's not windy and cold, but my glasses got steamed up, so it wasn't much fun.

Finally off the mark for 2017!!
3.8 miles in the fog that were harder than they should have been but then it has been something like 3 weeks since I last went out.
