I FaceTime parents and other family regularly and I’ve never spoken (Well text messages) to my brother as much I love the new ways of connecting.

Hey gang, managed to hit my April target; 86 miles for the month, outdoing the 84 miles for the whole of 2019. It's come at a cost though: my lower right calf is in bits, very tight and very sore. I wouldn't call it the actual calf though, it's just above the achilles where the muscle is naturally a bit firmer. Maybe it's soleus pain or it's actually achilles? Anyone has any experience with this before? Or know where to look to get more info?
Foam roller and rest for a few weeks I'm thinking, hopefully just pushed it too much during April and it'll settle down.

Well done but mind how you go. There's still nearly eight months left in 2020 even without the usual number of races.

Well done Matglen and sorry to hear about your niggle. Take care of it. Probably is wise to get some professional advice but I do struggle with niggles in that area too esp on my left leg. I have been told to do heel drops stand with ball of foot on a step and drop heel downwards. Another is to face a wall starting on your ‘good leg’ shuffle foot back slightly and knee towards the wall aim is to touch the wall. If you can shuffle back and you will feel stretch lower calf/achillies don’t go further than is comfortable.
Now that is the point you are aiming for so start at the wall moving back. Where you get to the point it is stretching without hurting don’t push further. I have found it helped.
When it’s fixed single let work is good for strengthening up your legs for running - squats toe raises etc. Actually if you have Facebook look up Kinetic Revolution - they may be on t’interweb too.

Yes lockdown is making things hard. I hurt my foot in a slip on a hill a couple of weeks ago. I’d normally have gone to physio but managing it at home. Hoping I don’t do any further damage.
Did 6m today it’s a bit tight and achy when I got back. I’ll rest it tomorrow.

Some physios (mine included) are doing assessment and treatment over video e.g. zoom. They can actually do quite a lot that way. So if things continue to cause problems...
Walking so much more at the moment. My walking is getting much faster. I’ve gone from 16-17 min mile pace to 15-16 min mile pace and today was at 14:24 min mile pace on the way to work and 14:32 min mile pace on the way home! I’m not sure I’ll keep up that pace - it’s fairly hard going!

PenW, that really is a very brisk walking pace. I certainly can't sustain that pace nowadays. That should also benefit your running pace, because although walking is a different action, it's strengthening your leg muscles etc. Well done!

That is a cracking paced walk Pen our walks with Ellie are very slow as she insists on checking out every blade of grass.
My running has been coming on well I’ve got a consistent 4 runs per week in with 3 walks with Andrew and Ellie and then the strength work 4-5 days a week. Today I went for a longer run of 9.5m it was warm even at 8am but a beautiful run. It felt easy which was the plan.
Got back baked for VE Day and took a little picnic to both sets of parents to include them a bit. Now to get the seats out and start our party with the neighbours
