I never truly ‘got’ the Libertines but happy to see them doing well and gigging.

Having a little run of ‘bands I’d love to see but at the wrong bloody time’ at the moment. Near misses on Slowdive, Nick Cave, Ride.

But Darkher announced a gig in London so hoping I can make that.

I suspect it won't be to everyone's liking but I'm quite enjoying Mount Kimble - The Sunshine Violent at the moment. More of a late night, lights dimmed kinda vibe 😎

Yes, I'm enjoying that too Joopsy.

The new Cindy Lee album is brilliant (but not on streaming)

I listened to the new Still House Plants album too....how do I put this....I can appreciate it, but it's a tough listen. Maybe a grower (no pun intended)

Yeah I'm not sure about Still House Plants either, the instrumentation doesn't do enough for me, it's like - where's this going. I say this as someone who loved Codeine, Slint and more difficult stuff like US Maple and Thinking Fellers Union...

New Cindy Lee sounds great although not got through all of it yet (a triple lp!!)

Talking of late night vibe - I'm late to the party but the whole Shabason , Krgovich, Sage, group and solo projects have some lovely ambient/jazz/borderline new agey stuff going on. There's a whole world of related projects I'm just picking up. Good starting point is the new lp Shabason, Krgovich, Sage, I'm also a big fan of Krgovich's Ducks lp from last year, lo-fi bedroom pop. It's low stakes music in the best possible way. I love the little Brazilian stylings, and the Byrdsian guitar breaks, plus the occasional feedback reminding you that this still has an edge.

Just watched "When Nirvana Came to Britain" on iPlayer and figured it maybe of interest to some of you folk. It was an enjoyable trip down memory lane, tho 30 years later and his passing still makes me sad so I did find the end of the program a little upsetting..... Anyways link below
