I've become obsessed with their new album - having previously not really heard of the band. New Century Hall in Manchester is a really nice small venue, too. Roll on 7pm!

I saw them about 10 years ago (eek) and they were amazing live.

The Ride album is my one to over-listen to for the next few days. Loved them for such a long time, they've had a couple of less exciting albums but its great that they're making new stuff and not just touring the nostalgia of the early nineties, great as they are live too!

Not listened yet Joe but did enjoy Weather Diaries even if the last release passed me by completely.

Well, I am also loving the new Everything Everything album. It's probably my favourite new album of 2024 so far.... and I've got a ticket to see them on Sunday night! (Assuming I get there, in-laws shenanigans willing)

Just walking home from their gig tonight. They were amazing - I wondered whether his voice would manage leaping around the octaves but he was fantastic. Support band Divorce were good too - although I think the sound balance wasn't quite right for them.

Lots of strobing lights though, I got quite overwhelmed a few times!

I saw Divorce as support for The Vaccines last month. I guess as a not-quite-headline band they shift straight from one support slot to the next.

Managed to give the new Ride album a listen last night and enjoyed it. Sure I’ll have it on a few more times this weekend.

About This Thread

Maintained by McGoohan
As a spin-off from Joopsy's excellent Albums of 2022 thread fetcheveryone.com/forum/albums-of-2022-62537/ this is a new thread where we commit to listen to one new album a week in 2023. Allowing a couple of weeks off for life commitments etc, that's 50 albums in the year.
EDIT - new and improved (i.e. exactly the same) for 2024
