Unproductive ha ha HS I take no notice of what Garmin says.

Time, distance, average pace, maybe fastest mile is all I bother with from my gadget LL. All the rest is useless information for me; if I was an elite runner I guess far more accurate systems for monitoring would be used and usefully utilised. According to my suunto I require three days of recovery after my 5 miler this morning! Hmm, maybe it IS right and I should run next on Sunday morning! I only use my suunto now and again because I know my route distances inside out and I don't want to be chasing pace every day. I'll use it when I know I'll be taking different twists and turns, like today.
Over the line LL! Fantastic! Well done. Ten mile race this weekend?

Only shows 997 on board..? I suspect you've not put your plod onto Fetch for yesterday! Great that you're over the line, 47 left for me!

Load better today thanks. Like forever I'm amazed how much gunk a set of lungs can produce!

Went for an easy chatty 10k with a friend this morning, now absorbing coffee!

I do think that it's a bit too easy to become a slave to the watch!

I do tend to ignore the remarks on Garmin Connect, for example it advises that I have the fitness of a 20 year old 🤣

Hope you have reached the 1000 miles now LL.

Steve, I think that we are all in agreement that we should ignore the Garmins comments. I find it useful though to be able to sync with my phone 📱 new courses, so I can navigate accordingly when I do that course again.

Glad that you are feeling better now Marky. Sounds like you enjoyed your chatty 10k this morning.

I ran a nice steady 6.52 miles in the forest this morning, at an average pace of 10.38 minute miling.

Garmin connect is a d!ck I ran 100k and was told it was unproductive. Do a gentle 5k and I can get a +8! I ignore it

I seem to have hurt my hip in yoga yesterday. I suspect I may not have been fully warmed up and did pigeon pose. Meant I slowed on lunch run but ran with geordiemum so it was ok. I’ll attack the foam roller later.

Oh s*** gg, hope the hip thing is only temporary but glad you were able to run with mum.
I felt unwell again yesterday and not firing on all cylinders today but will be firing well tomorrow. Good forest run there hs, wish I could get such a pace but know I won't. Acceptance has been difficult over the last thirty years, if I had a proper functioning leg....arghh...that word " if"....

Sorry to hear about your your painful hip ĢG. I think this highlights the need to warm up before stretching. Good though that you were still able to run with your mum.

Well done Lesley achieving the 1,000!

Sorry that you are still a bit under the weather Steve, but hope, as you said, that you will be firing on all cylinders tomorrow.

Thanks, I felt good during yesterday's forest run, and feel stronger since our marathons on 3rd October. I'm still conscious though of my right knee, since I tore the meniscus in June 2017. It's fine for steady pace, but when I push it, it does ache.

Today is a rest day and I went for a hair cut in the village this morning. My hairdresser is also a runner, and she is a member of another local running club. We always chat about running, as well as other things.
