That's some pumpkin festival by the looks of it! Good alternative to a run!
Six miles this morning were a struggle for no obvious reason. I'd slept well, eaten well, not extended myself doing anything out of the ordinary; interesting how the body changes even from day to day. Won't run tomorrow and fire up again on Monday!

It was good Steve, and involved about 2 hours walking round, with me pushing a wheel barrow containing 2 heavy pumpkins. I think that counts as cross training!
Well done for your 6 miles this morning. Sometimes we feel good, and others not so good for no apparent reasons.

I ran a very easy pace 6.56 miles in the forest this morning.

Only 10 miles left for me to hit the magical 1000. It’s been a traumatic year as I had a heart attack in March. Now I’m all fixed and living life to the max

Scott dog, I'm very pleased to hear that you have recovered well from your heart attack in March. Well done getting so close now to the magical 1000 miles.

Just for a change, I walked 🚶‍♂️ 5k to see how hard I could push myself. I did it in 47.04, an average pace of 15.08 minute miling. Not very quick compared with experienced walkers, but not bad for a first time. I don't intend to make a habit of walking, as the miles don't count on the running league table

Wow scottdog, what a recovery and fantastic that you're nearing the 1,000. That sounds like a well fixed runner.

I might try a 5k walk for fun sometime now hs! I have your market there, seems a fair pace! Obviously not for the table/target but an interesting thing to know.
No run today but a cycle ride of 12 miles in the rain with my daughter. (A regular cyclist so I was always behind!).

Wow scottdog that’s fantastic on both counts.

HS. When I broke my arm and had a month off I walked 5k every day for a month and think I had it down to about 42 minutes.

That's amazing to come back from a heart attack scottdog. Well done!

I attempted a fast one at Parkrun yesterday, was about 1.5 mins slower than my time in August. I was disappointed with that, will try again soon and see how it goes.

Well done for your cycle ride Steve. Looking forward to seeing what time you can walk a 5k in some time.

LL, you've set the walking target now. I'll have to do my next walk, whenever that may be, on our usual 5k running course. Todays walk was simply up a hill and down again on the road.

Lesley, good luck for your next attempt at a fast parkrun.

Thanks everyone, I feel the best I’ve been in years. Maybe it’s the three stents I have in my heart 💪💪
