Just back from my Covid booster and flu Jab, and all went well. Hardly felt the jabs going in, and feel ok so far. I won't run today and Friday is a rest day, so I should be ok for Saturday's run

No run yesterday, no run today. Woke up with "something" yesterday morning and spent the day lying down. Terrible pain in my arms and nauseous. Ugh. No idea the cause and maybe a belated reaction to flu jab on when one can get flu like symptoms. I'd rather call it simply "old man's malady"! Feel better this morning but weak and still some arm muscle ache!

Tut, that's spoiled my anticipated target finish date!
I was and still unsure about all the plans I have read for achieving specific times because everyone is different. A general, basic following of a plan is obviously a good idea but adjustable according to individual ability. You're doing fine though LL and it's looking good for next month.

Glad you are feeling better this morning Steve and hopefully the aches and pains are due to the flu Jab.

My left arm which had the Covid booster started hurting late yesterday evening and I hardly slept at all, because every time I moved the arm, it felt as if it had been punched. It's feeling a bit easier this morning, but I'm taking it easy. Thankfully, the right arm which had the flu jab has been ok.
I'm wondering if the reaction was due to the first 2 jabs being AstraZeneca and yesterday's the psziser.

Regarding training plans, the Sarah's and I followed a 16 week Marathon training schedule which "paid off!" That was the first time, however, that I had stuck to a schedule.

That was one of the worst things about the covid jab HS, I hated having the sore arm too. Mine were pfizer.

Hope you are feeling a bit better now Steve.

Managed to get out for a few miles this afternoon, very chilly out there today. It was roasting on Wednesday.

RD at Parkrun for me tomorrow again. Hoping it all goes well.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Thanks LL, my arm was fine this morning and I ran 5.2 miles on roads with Sarah. We are starting to gradually increase our pace post Marathon, in our optimistic pursuit of running a half marathon in 2 hours. Our fastest mile was the 5th at 9.1 minute miling, which is the pace we would have to maintain to achieve it.
I hope you don't have any after effects from Thursday's flu Jab.

If you decided to do the parkrun, I hope it went well.

Parkrun went well this morning. It was really rather chilly though. Was glad I took my flask for a hot drink.

Glad your parkrun went well this morning Lesley.

It rained heavily for the first 15 minutes of our run this morning, and then stopped and the sun came out 🌧🌞
