A muddy exploratory 7.95 miles in the forest with 3 running friends this morning. Very heavy rain to start with, and then it stopped and the 🌞 came out.

A half mile into my intended run this morning and I decided it wasn't my day! Except through injury I've not done that before..in forty odd years. Just didn't feel like it. I put it down to my routine change this morning, intermittent heavy rain..😂...too bad. I ought not be a slave to routines but clearly am😂. Resume tomorrow.

I’ve been feeling like that a bit lately Steve. Chin up tomorrow’s another day. I managed a half today wasn’t pretty but after my failed 12 feel I’ve at least done it.

Sorry to hear that you didn't feel like running this morning Steve. I suppose that I stick to routines, being that most of my runs start at 8.30am.
It was a very tough run with the underfoot conditions, and that we were running through "unknown territory!" I've synced the course to my phone and Garmin Forerunner, in case we want to run it again.

Some great updates we’ll done everyone and scottdog that is phenomenal so glad you’ve recovered so well.
I’m struggling I feel exhausted I think I keep going in my crazy life, now its slowed down my body is crying rest. I didn’t get out yesterday and I’m actually in the office today. Migraine yesterday and being audited today 😩
Bit disappointed with myself with a marathon to start the month I should have been way over 100, but it’s likely I’ll just scrape the finish line.
I’ll endeavour to get out tonight I think I need it.

Not sure if it's always best to train/run when feeling toooo "ugh". Cutting back or proper rest can pay dividends when we're obviously pushing against the tide. Of course it's important to go for one's targets and it can be difficult to know sometimes when hard effort is of benefit or damaging. Sounds nice to enjoy " unknown territory" hs even if tough underfoot. You need to reframe those disappointed thoughts about yourself gg! You've done so well throughout the year and you can't sniff at a marathon. I felt ok today with 6.3 miles started in the morning darkness and in routine!
