Well done Steve, Lesley and FF on your runs. I did a hilly trail run walk this morning and covered 13.1 miles. I ache now 😀.
Great photos Lesley.

A 7 minute mile is excellent FF. It's many years since I have run that fast.

Well done Jaks for your half marathon distance run.

Yes hillstrider it's quite good but I've had 2 at 6.29 earlier in the year so I'm a little annoyed I'm not improving. I've had better wava scores for a 5k than the mile so it's frustrating.

What a distance Jaks! I'm presuming you're prepping for the 15k Helvellyn Trail event, you've certainly got the endurance under your belt now.
Lovely photos Lesley, what with 5 soggy miles, some intervals and the virtual mile it shows how much you've progressed this year.
Not a bad virtual mile FF although I can understand your subdued evaluation when you're half a minute adrift. ( Unfortunately I'm minutes...plural!!... adrift of former times !!). We never know at the time when we've done our best/fastest run, that's the downside to running and similar in any sport. Important to try and really embrace each run and enjoy what it's given us. (Says me, classic grumbler too often).
3.1 miles on a wonderful dark quite soggy morning and the thrill of trying to run further than my walking segments. Yeah, positive morning!

Well done Steve for your 3.I miles, it sounds like you are enjoying your run/walks now.

This morning was a total of 6.44 miles with the Wednesday Group, including

5 x800 metres with 90 seconds recoveries, on the gravel track. My fastest was the 5th in 4.31 minutes which is 9.07 minute miling. Back in the day, that would have been a very slow recovery pace. Unfortunately, old age catches up with us all, but we are blessed to still be running.

😂 FF! After many months of struggling nearly every time I went out I turned a corner about ten weeks ago. Might not be all running but have got the enjoyment back instead of thinking how hard the run is going to be!
6x800 is impressive hs, you seem to have got over the jab after effects.
Had my jabs yesterday morning, after my run so no run today. No after effects really but a very achy arm where the covid jab went. Flu one is ok. Hopefully will feel ok to run tomorrow.

Thanks Steve, I think that I have got over the after-effects from my jabs. I hope that you don't get delayed effects like I did. My arms didn't ache, but the jabs were a bit painful.

I ran a solo hilly 4 miles on roads this morning, pushing hard on the up and down hills. I like challenging myself on hills.

I'm back!! sorry for yet again being an AWOL thousander, we had the wedding on Sunday and then straight into my work conference so I have barely been on social media at all (helped by almost zero connectivity at the hotel) pleased to report both went very well.

hs, sorry that you didnt do your half but I think it was a sensible decision, it is a long way when you're not feeling well and I know you would have no doubt pushed yourself. Glad you got out for a few miles.

Great continued running, Steve, Jaks, FF & fab pics Lesley and excellent running LL to actually have beaten winners time you were aiming for over the shorter distance. Apologies if I have missed anything significant.

Also as a result of the wedding and conference I've only managed 2.5m so far this month, I have been told to have a quieter day today, I am manning the inbox this morning while my colleague travelled home and had the morning off, I am taking a long lunch and doing a longer run and I am just pottering rather than normal working today. Weekend at home (yeah) although dentist tomorrow and covid jab Saturday (no idea why I have been offered one but I'll take it and pray I don't have too many side effects) away with work again Monday & Tuesday but off to London town so I will run Tuesday before we meet for our team building day volunteering at the Imperial War Museum.

Welcome back GG! You certainly have a very busy schedule. It's impressive that you manage to find the time to run at all.
Good luck with the dentist and Covid jab. I hope that you don't have any after effects.
