I'm not sure about tomorrow Steve. I'm still not feeling 100% and a half marathon is a long way if not fully fit. I did walk to the supermarket for newspapers, but not feeling confident. I'll see how I feel in the morning.

Well done for your 5.5 miles this morning, and 101 miles for the month.

Well done Steve.

Hope you feel recovered enough tomorrow HS.

I ran Muncaster parkrun this morning, managed to get round 2 loops before resorting to walking up the last hill.

Thanks Jaks, I hope so, but will be sensible and listen to my own advice, for a change 😁
Well done for your parkrun. I miss not doing one, especially as my friends are doing another different one.

Suffering with a bad back but moving helps so I caught the bus to Newport and did the Medina parkrun before having a steady run across the island back to Shanklin. Various cycle tracks, bridleways and public footpaths. Lots of checking maps and taking a photo every mile. 11.5 miles including detours (going wrong) I enjoyed it except the one or two uphill bits where my back niggled a bit.

Sounds like a good running session this morning FF, parkrun and then running back to Shanklin. A few years ago I ran in the Isle of Wight Marathon, which started from Ryde Canoe Lake and up George Street, which is a very steep hill. I think it starts from East Cowes now 🤔

Well done on your 101 Steve you’ve been so consistent and committed great to see you getting results.

Wishing you luck tomorrow hs, hope the weather is kind and the side effects of the jab has fully disappeared.

Well done on parkrun FF & Jaks.

Hope you are feeling a better today HS, and good luck if you decide to run.

My sore back is the same FF. Mine is much better now though but does stiffen up from time to time.

Well done on the mileage Steve and your Parkruns Jaks and FF (plus the extra miles).

I'm just away to get ready for a run here.

Thanks everyone for your kind wishes, but I have decided not to risk running the half marathon. My club mates have been very supportive by saying that I am not letting them down.

I'm going to go for a short jog this morning, because the longer I Ieave it, the harder it will be to get going again. We lose our fitness so much quicker as we age.

Enjoy today's running everyone.

Enjoy your run Lesley and anyone else running today.

That was a good run you did yesterday FF.

Take care HS, nice to have supportive club mates.

I’m off for a run/walk in a bit, just having another cup of tea first.
