9k is good going on the track Mrsb . As for morning running of course it helps when you're retired like me! I always ran in the morning before work, and still do and generally before 7am,that was ten years ago now and I wonder now how I squeezed a run in. I get up at 5 30 am now. Cup of tea, a biscuit and off

Ah, I was running at a much better pace then and getting a morning run in was imperative because I wouldn't finish work until 6pm quite often. Tips? Go to bed early!!
What fabulous miles there hs, gg and Lesley. Carrying a helmet must have been a nuisance FF, you should have worn it!đŸ˜‚, phew, 13.8 miles with that in hand was a handicap.
Couple of days off for me. Don't ask why!!

Good to hear from you Steve, I guess those early mornings are instilled in you. I am a night owl but seemingly a reasonable early bird too which means my sleep is never enough.

Hope all is ok (I'm not directly asking)

steve45 I ran home with the helmet which is a mile (almost) before I did the rest of the run.

This morning was a pyramid session on the level gravel trail with the Wednesday Crew. It comprised 4 sets of 30 45 60 seconds with jog backs, and 2 minutes recoveries between sets.

Ticking over here as took another tumble at parkrun on Sat. It’s knocked my confidence as have had 3 x falls in quick succession.
Luckily it was a soft landing as on grass.
I’m boring myself about falling over at this stage.

Have you spoke to anyone about your falls LL? You seem very prone to them at the moment which is not great. Hope you’re ok soft landing or not it’s got to affect your confidence

Sorry to read this LL, I hope it was just your pride that hurt Saturday.
I'll keep an eye open for runners stabilisers ;-)

Thanks GG and FF there has been a reason for all my falls as in its been uneven ground, pot hole, running with a dog, curb etc. I have never actually fallen on a good surface. Having said that I am still worried about falling again. After my fall in Nov 19 when I broke my arm I was super cautious of where and when I ran and after 3 years maybe I have become complacent again. I have asked a coach at the club to look at my running gait to see if there is anything obvious.

LL - hope you aren’t too sore! FF - thanks for the welcome back, I shall try to be here more! Steve, retirement… lots of my friends are retired now, Husbando is self employed and will never retire. It is tempting to retire, very tempting!
