Breathing was back to normal. I think I had been suffering side effects from my Covid and flu jabs, a few weeks ago. My friends had remarked that I had been breathing heavier than usual, even during slower runs. LL, well done for your 90th parkrun, and 43rd new venue. I hope you do manage to achieve the 100 run target, 50 volunteers and 50 different venues. I think you should be awarded a parkrun t-shirt for each ๐ |

HS, as your senior, (by a month!), I think that if age is catching up on you, then perhaps cutting back a little may be the way forward. Whether you reduce quantity, pace or frequency of runs, is a matter of personal preference, but probably you'd want to maintain your pace as well as you can. After more than 8 weeks on the injury bench, I had my first running attempt yesterday; just 1.5 mls. in several bits, interspersed with walking, and very slow! I'd seen the physio on Thursday, and he observed me running up and down the corridor, and he said there were no balance problems, and form was fine. I could restart, with run/walk. It wasn't completely without pain, so caution is still needed. |

Good you're coming back, Evangel! hillstrider, I'm glad you're on the up, too. Older and wiser voices are always good to hear. ๐

Looby Loo that's a lot of different parkruns for a total of 90, good luck reaching your totals. Nice to read you've been out Evangel and I hope you're able to progress well with your return. It's surprising how injections can affect people differently hillstrider and hope you're now back to 'normal'. Good luck tomorrow 3M |

Welcome back Evangel. Good luck tomorrow MMM. Lots of you have been busy running today, well done! Hope your ok HS. These pesky jabs really do have an effect on people. I saw that event advertised GG by Girls on the hills, enjoy it, I'm sure you will. I went to Parkrun again today, my 49th. The route was completely different due to work going on but it was just as hard. Had to run a longer way there with a harder hill as the shorter trail is closed off. Happy with my time but course slightly shorter so similar to last week. It was pretty wet and windy. Of course the sun came out after we all had a hot drink in the cafe. |

Well done Lesley for running to parkrun and getting a good time. Shame the course measured short.

Thanks FF. It was a last minute course change. The estate announced mid week that some areas would be closed. So 6pm last night we finally made a route. There are a lot of trees so everyone's GPS is all different - trees can really screw it up.

Our parkrun is in a park full of trees so I know the feeling well. You did the best you could with the short time you had to sort out a course so once again another well done.
