A 10k on mixed terrain early today. Warm weather has gone and it was quite chilly at the start! I'm enjoying the British Athletic Championships on telly, started yesterday. On again at 1.15 pm today from Manchester. Great to see the general club runners moving into the top places, the winners of the future.

Well done Steve and Lesley.
I'm looking forward now to tomorrow's 10k, having not run since Wednesday. I think the 10 year bands for category positions are unfair though. I'm in the 70 - 79 category competing against "youngsters" aged 70.

Slippers are my favourite and the worst thing about being in the office a bit more I can’t be in slippers or barefoot and Lycra.
We’re seriously looking at retirement in about 7 yrs when the mortgage is paid. Although I’m threatening to go at 55 and maybe get a part time job.
I’ve always been a slow runner so had to deal with that many years ago I’m happy being out and my coach favouring effort rather than pace has been brilliant
Off boating for 2 weeks now (we’ll working full day Monday & Tuesday morning! Can’t wait for some down time and with the run behind me it will be leisurely runs (mind you coach has my training ramping up again next week - 1hr Monday, 45min Tuesday, 50min Thursday. 1hr Friday, 2hr Saturday & 1hr Sunday! She’s obviously forgot I have done the run 🤣)

You’ll have it back tomorrow HS and good luck. I’ve lost mine too. Guernsey parkrun for me today tough but beautiful course. Got the bus there and walked about 6 miles back. Well done everyone and have a lovely weekend.
