After road yesterday I was back to trails this morning, I'm finding the variation helpful. Another four miles, the trails are caked dry but great to be along. Plodding very much so but I can live with that!

Steve, I try to mix trail and road, as otherwise, by sticking with the one discipline, makes it difficult when necessary to run on the other, such as a road race, with no road mileage in the legs.

I ran a very easy pace 5.42 miles in the forest with a running friend this morning. I've had a niggle in my right knee since my fall a few weeks ago, so I'm resting now until Sundays 10k, in the hope that it will be ok.

Shame about your niggle hillstrider and I hope it doesn't cause any issues Sunday for your race. Race well and strong, good luck.

Great going peeps.

Hs hope the knee is ok esp for Sunday

I went for a pootle at lunch, only 2.38 (rounding up numbers 🤣) but legs felt fine only too hot the T-shirt I had in isn’t the best on a hot day.

Thanks FF and GG! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Sunday. We've had a weather alert for heavy rain and thunderstorms in Hampshire tomorrow, so just as well I won't be running.

Good that your legs were ok for your lunchtime pootle GG. I usually wear t shirts in the summer, no matter how hot it is, because wearing a vest leaves my back and shoulders at the mercy of the sun 🌞. I will however, be wearing my club vest on Sunday, so will have to remember the sun cream.

Currently 29 degrees celsius and muggy here....at 7.45pm local time. That's okay though since I'm not going running any time soon. Last night and a cold beer us calling!

Look after your kneegle, HS.

Been very hot here this week, too hot in fact.

Last night was good, I walked most of the 5 miles as one of the girls had a Crohn's flare-up. It was too cloudy for a sunset but we still got great views. The midges were out in force and I forgot to put on repellent 🤦‍♀️. Foot was fine.

Good luck for the weekend HS, hope the niggle isn't too serious.
