Yep, FF is right, my last race was in 2004. Unless we count the occasional "race" against my wife!!
I'm lucky I suppose that I run for running's sake, which is how I began.

There's a lot to be said for 'just running'.

Turned my light off eventually at 3.30am, was still awake at 4.30am. Woke up around 8.30am, my legs still work but my eyes not so much 🀣🀣

Official chip time 4.13.18

This is from midnight but the sun was shy.

There's another on this mornings blog with more to follow.

Friday night was terrific but last night not so much.

Brilliant achievements, GG & FF; really well done. Great efforts too, all others doing races, parkruns an other running.

I haven't run since Wednesday, because on Friday I had been bullied into doing an 11 mile walk up and down mountains in the Brecon Beacons, so that we could see the (almost) midsummer sun go down over the mountains. It was rather unfair though, because the ages of the group were 32, 42, 56 & me 76! With my orthopaedic history following 2 prolapsed discs 18 years ago, I really found it too much, and only determination kept me going. Now I'll stop wingeing!

I'm planning to do some gentle tempo intervals tomorrow; let's see how we go!

What an evening Evangel ..you didn't say whether it was worth it thoughπŸ˜‚
I did quite an arduous five mile walk on my running rest day yesterday with my daughter (43)with some steep climbs but nowhere near BB level! It was long enough for me and very enjoyable looking around at things instead of focusing on running.
Five miler this morning on trails, brrr...there was a chilling wind when I left just after 6am.
