I haven't done a lot of speed work since returning from the PF issue. PF is very much still making itself known after longer runs and after I'd done some intervals quite a while back. I think my issue is I'm frightened of being disappointed with my performance and also irritating the PF more than regular running does. After my marathon and recovery I shall definitely be trying speed work as I have a couple of races booked in and considering 2 others.

Well done LL, an excellent time!

Sounds like a good run Turkhish.

It was very hot here too, too hot for me to attempt any speed work. I ran 5.71 miles in the forest, including an easy trot round one of our original 5k courses. My hr was a sensible average 120, max 128.

It seems the heat wave will be very short lived.
For me nearly always running early in the morning the temperature has yet to rise above 15c and that's my way of avoiding it! Even though I prefer heat to chill: all very well me saying I don't mind the heat though when I seldom experience its discomfort 🌞🤪

Take this run as an experience rather than risk injury FF, but I do hope that it stays away and let’s you do what you want to in the race. Best of luck! Hope work wasn’t too tiring last night and have a safe trip (& snooze on the plane)

Thanks GG, the PF is niggling again but I shall get around especially as I'm not racing it.
Enjoy your own adventure and I'm looking forward to reading about it too. Have fun, enjoy and take care.

Best wishes GG and FF for your respective challenges. Looking forward to hearing all about them. Opted for 2 wheels yesterday and same for today. It means I’ve lost my green tick but hope to make it up by Sunday.

Well done LL.

Another 5k for me this morning. Definite niggle so won't be increasing the mileage just yet. Was very windy out there but quite warm.

Good luck all and enjoy the weekend :-)

Arrived in Tromso safe and sound, it's been a long day but I have collected my number and now sat having some food.
