I just need to be sensible LL and listen to my body. It took me ages to recover longer than I expected but I have the rest of my life to be thankful.

Sorry to hear about your brother Steve hope he makes a full recovery and def worth getting checked out.

Scottdog great to see you doing so well following heart surgery.

Hope the knee is ok hs & your foot Lesley.

My dad was rushed into hospital on Thursday turns out he had a gallstone which caused massive pain on Tuesday (I made him go to docs as I was worried it was his heart, he has angina) so I wasn’t popular when he was admitted. But turns out his gallstone has damaged the gallbladder and bile duct so he’s got to have surgery when they get his bloods sorted. He’s allowed home today. He’s 80, over the moon that 2 doctors couldn’t believe that one thinking nearer 65. Just pray they can fix it for him.

I’ve still been running now at 94.5 for the month def in taper now for my event in 13 days 😬

I'm chuckling at the idea of New Forest Camels, HS. Would they have shorter legs? And would people pull over and gawp at them like the "cute" ponies, do you think?

Sorry to hear about your brother Steve. Hope he makes a good recovery.

Looks like everyone had a good weekend. Well I rested and did next to nothing. Will see how it is tomorrow when I try a run.

Enjoy you taper GG and hope your Dad's surgery goes well.

What a worry gg, hope things get sorted out quickly.
Well happy to read your experience in respect of recovery scottdog which I'll tell my brother about! He's home now and luckily was in the world renowned cardiac unit in Toronto General.
No running for me today, did weights and stretches before eating 100gms of an Easter egg!

I hope your Dad's surgery goes well GG! Good luck with the taper in readiness for your event in 12 days time.

Nice running yesterday Turkhish on the trails.

Camels in the New Forest would definitely be a tourist attraction 3M, and they would be stupid enough to try and feed them, and take selfies 🤳

Good that you did your exercises before eating the 100gms of Easter Egg Steve.

This morning was a challenging forest run with the Monday Group. We ran/walked 7.65 miles over mud, water, ploughed fields, and rutted and potholed dried mud tracks. It was enjoyable as we only saw one runner, one 🐕 walker, and two horse 🐎 riders. Not a tourist to be seen 😃

So sorry to hear about your brother Steve and your Dad GG, wishing them both speedy recoveries.

First run today after 8 days off. Felt so good to be back out, low mileage this week.
