Merry and Happy Christmas everyone. We did a short jaunt early this morning, Robins singing in a few gardens and a murky, damp but mild Christmas Day.

Hope everyone is enjoying Christmas day whatever you're doing and whoever you're with.

Fingers crossed for those chasing down the final few miles and good health to those battling colds or similar.

As a 'refuge' from the now defunct runners world forum, I'm relatively new here. It's been a smashing group to join, thanks for the welcome, and I'll be in from the beginning in 2025.

Ipswich Park run this morning, with M-in-L for a few days, added 8.3 to the total.

Ytd: 1077.2

Merry Christmas everyone!

Thanks for the messages about the target! However I did Exeter Parkrun this morning with my brother (Biggest one I think I've done, must have been 700 or more runners) and in the shower afterwards I had an epiphany that while 1000 miles may be out of reach I am almost at 1500km (Which I must admit is my preferred metric!). So that's what I'm going to aim for.

2025 should get off to a good start as my brother and I are doing the Polar Night Half Marathon in Tromso on 4th and then London in April, so I'm hopeful for 1k miles next year!

Merry Christmas one and all hope you have a festive and peaceful day.

I have come down with a horrid cough and did a token 1m xmas day run, chest wasn’t happy so there may not be many more added to my total.

Wow that half will be amazing EdGreig.

I do fetch secret Santa and my Santa got me (among other things) a little crow no doubt to recognise Escape from Meriden! How cool!
