I am doing marcothon, legs feel surprisingly fresh. Although some runs have been pretty easy. MMM sometimes the software on the watch needs updated and that can help glitches. Not sure which garmin you have though. |

I also enter my runs manually. I couldn't understand how to do it through Garmin Express - I'm in the Stone Age, as regards anything Hi-tech - so I just carried on doing it manually. I'm doing our club's 5K Santa Run on Saturday along the seafront at Aberavon - the surprisingly pleasant seafront of Port Talbot! As my last quality run before then, yesterday morning I did some intervals - 5x800m.(+200m. jog RBI). The session went quite well. It will be touch and go, but I think I may just manage to reach my umpteenth target for 2018, namely 1000 Km., or about 621.4ml. |

FF Valencia didn't go to plan, but was a wonderful event. Loved the race and a beautiful city to spend the weekend in. Would highly recommend ![]() |

Dunno about the "didn't go to plan" DaveK but you did pretty well on what looks like a very meagre number of training miles. You should be pleased with that. Good to see that you are on track to reach another target Evangel. |

runners are also doing it. Regarding problems syncing Garmins with Garmin Connect on phones/laptops, my problem until recently was that I had an Huawai Phone, which have a reputation with problems syncing with Garmin Connect. My solution was to connect my Garmin to my laptop with an USB Cable. This connected to Garmin Express /Garmin Connect and Strava. I've now purchased a Galaxy S8, which connects and syncs with my Forerunner 235 as soon as I enter the front door. I don't run with the phone, but leave it on the table, until I return from the run. I was looking at a resurrected thread on runners world regarding bleep tests, and wondering whether anyone on here had tried them. About 20 or so years ago I was working at an Establishment which had its own running club, and we used to do this in the car park once a week. We had the programme on a tape recorder and I believe I got up to level 12. The distance each way was 20 metres. |

Hi all, I've been absent lately as, although I have been putting together a few consistent weeks, I am going to fall well short on this challenge (most likely I will finish on about 880 miles). Maybe I'll do better next year. Well done to all of you who have got to 1000 already or will do by the end of the year! |

Dave_K- I am please you enjoyed it even if you hoped to have done better. hillstrider - Remember doing Blip tests in school about 15 years ago. Not done one since then! There are mobile apps which are blip tests but I have not used any but was thinking of doing so when I used to coach junior runners. I liked the novelty factor but not sure I would want to do them regularly. The is a table of stages to speed on the following link: en.wikipedia.org AndrewD - Maybe try and beat last year's total? |
