fetcheveryone Nice to get back to racing after a gap of two months for the birth of JPR, even if I didn't really 'race'. Just incase I forget by this time next year, the puddles were COLD. But not that cold, and I'd recommend this as a bit of fun to anyone. Nice to meet McG, SS and KB (again). Ran past Sezz shortly before ditching my face in a big puddle, which must have been entertaining. Now I need a good 8-miler to sort out what looks like a very slack PB.

KatieB Enjoyed this in a strange way. Met Surreystrider and Mcgoohan for the first time which was great. Ran the course with Fetch in a relaxed way and enjoyed the differentness of it. The time went quickly, it didn't feel like 8 miles, and the weather was kind. Will do this again. :-)

Kinsey A lovely sunny December day for running down a tank track! Quite cold, but luckily not as cold as it has been recently which was just as well as taking your cold water bath whilst actually racing is pretty hard work. Who knew how heavy trainers get when they are soaking wet as well!
Luckily had my friend Jane keeping me company around nearly all the course but we really suffered with the

PhillipStanton The first two miles were the longest. And the two after that were tough as well (I didn't, for instance, know that mile 2 to mile 3 could be such a big distance). After that it went down hill. And up hill. And through puddles. Of course.

I must admit that I hated it and was considering pulling out at 4 miles. I now, of course, feel incredibly smug and would do it again tomorrow. Ok, maybe not _that_ tomorrow...

Puffing Bertie What a fab race, cold puddles zapped all my energy and my feet were hurting with cold after one lot, but still great fun. Very odd feeling when you are roasting on top but cant feel below your waist! Fine up to 6 miles then really struggled in the last 2. Definitly do it again. Everyone was so helpfull and encouraging. Thanks Sezz for staying with me :-)

RG Postie (RGP) What a great race !
This is one that I'll definately be doing again, never had done this race before so I never knew what time to expect,so very happy with 1:21:44,considering the bottle necking in the first couple of miles, was good to see Godzilla from the RW forum in the first mile and put a face to a name.

Running Fish lucky with the weather. shame there wasnt a bit more variety to the course. judging by the surrounding terrain there could have been much more on offer.

Sezz What a laugh! Really cold coming out of the puddles and I even missed my footing in one towards the end and got soaked. Very friendly and nice to run a race without worrying too much about the time. Deffo doing it next year - wonder if I'll have all the mud out of my clothes by then.

surreystriderâ„¢ Not as hard as Hellrunner, but harder than your average Sunday morning run. I can just about feel my feet again.

Good to see some fellows Fetchites before and after, including the Grand Fetchite himself !

taulpaul Fantastic fun. First real time that i decided to just run a race and not take it seriously. Ran with two mates and ran it slow so we could cross the line together. A great day all round with the weather being really kind to us. Didn't stop the water being bleedin freezing tho. One of my bestest medals as well...
