About Me
Well started running in 2003 with the intention of completing a marathon - namely the FLM 2003. After struggling round and going through agony i swore i would never run again. Over 80 races and now 18 marathons later i'm still going. Had a bad year with illness and injury in 2007 but thankfully got back on track in 2008 by competing in 4 full marathons to varying degrees of success.....Took it a bit easier in 2009 by completing just 1 marathon for marathon number 13 on the island of Guernsey. Another difficult year in 2010 but more down to motivation and another leg injury. Two stress fractures in 2010-11 meant pulling out of London 2011 but I did manage to complete the Edinburgh Marathon 2011 for number 14. 2012 has brought another injury ridden training bout but the London Marathon was still completed in just over 4 hours. After a rest to recover and a decent bout of hard training in the latter part of 2012 I finally felt like i have got back to my best with my best half and full marathon times ran since 2006. All despite now being much older! Marathon number 16 completed in France, 17 in Kent and 18 in tough Snowdonia. Travelled to Hamburg in 2015 and ran my 19th and fastest marathon yet. Show More...
