Fitz Don't know what happened to my earlier comments :-( Here they are again... Cool,cloudy conditions - pretty much ideal for marathon running; the threatened rain held off until just after I finished ;-). PeeBeed 3:55:23 despite an unprecedented 2 loo breaks - must have been the pre-race Powerade instead of my usual Lucozade Sport. The first mile felt very crowded and slow but soon thinned out nicely. Struggled to settle down to my target pace until around mile 9-10 but on the upside that gave me enough in the bank for the loo stops! Last year's crush at Villeneuve - Loubet didn't rematerialise so, again time in the bank. The French seem to have a very odd strategy for water stations - stop completely! Didn't partake of the solids on offer but there was lots of fruit, chocolate and cola in addition to the usual water and energy drinks.

taulpaul Excellent route. Support very quiet at times for a big city race. Excellent medal, t-shirt and rucksack at the finish and expo. Very pleased with the time as was aiming for sub 3.45. Finished in position 2290 out of 6682 finishers. 10KM - 0.53.23 - Position 2939 21KM - 1.49.54 - Position 2788 30KM - 2.37.38 - Position 2586 42KM - 3.44.00 - Position 2290
