Foot & Mouth Have to beat last years time of 1.26. Mrs Booboo did 1.16 recently and now I'm worried !!!!

A good result considering the amount of training I've done with the wedding & Honeymoon. The temp was at the point of unbearable, If it wasn't for the hero that was passing a bottle of water around I think I would have died at mile 8, BIG THANKS

Mr. K. Last long race before the Munro. Felt really good even in the heat & up & down the hills (needed the water at 9 thou).

mss2sw Dorking 10. 69:17. Ran in training shoes rather than racing flats given lack of speed these days. Boiling at 24 degrees C. Ok until the final three/four miles and really felt it. Hilly course and no real shade. Need to start speedwork if I am ever to get back to comfortable 6.30min/mile running and don't know if I can be arsed with that.

Deenzy First things first I should have altered my prediction as I have only just come back from a 7 week running lay off!
This is a great race but for two years on the spin the weather has made it really tough. 1st few miles felt in control and easy and heart rate was where it should be but just like last year from about mile 6 it started to get really tough. It was blisteringly hot and the hills whilst not particularly steep really sapped your energy, it wasn't just me everyone seemed to be struggling. Last 3 miles were a real slog with HR way high, I was glad when it was over. Splits :7.02,6.59,7.12,7.10,7.19,7.18,7.22,7.35,7.52,7.26
A small PB by just over a minute which under the circumstances I am happy with. I would need a better training build up and a cool slightly flatter course to get near 1.06!!

SuzyWoo Too hot to race this properly, decided to use as a training run instead after 4 miles. Lovely route and enjoyed the hills and finish :-)

The Outlaw Good start, 1 mile @ 6:02, then slowed a little due to hills. 5 miles @1:1:30, finished strongly. Undulating course and hot weather, but enjoyable run. 41st overall/3rd MV50/2nd MV50 Surrey. As at Sutton 10K, I just missed out on winning MV50 - the winner was only 11 seconds faster and the runner up was just 2 seconds ahead of me! I had no idea how close it was until I saw the results.
