RununMan Could not believe how popular this race is, or that i've never ran it before. Really enjoyed it, although went off way too fast and paid for it in last couple of miles.

Ands Hot again, but not as bad as last year! Legs ached to start with (unusual for me) but settled down after a couple miles. Must've been fitter than I thought post 170mile cycle ride as only a minute slower than last year, over all not too bad, enjoyed ourselves in the Black Bull after too! Great crowd suppost when you're wearing a Blaydon vest aswell.

Lisrun I am looking forward to the atmosphere at the beginning and end, the band playing Blaydon Races and the bands on the route. This year I have to do better than my pb for this race. Went badly wrong last year when I pulled muscle and had to walk. Cant happen again can it ? ..... Friday 8th: Definitely going to push for a PB and to get one I need to be doing the equivalent of 49m 30s for 10K. If you look at my recent 10Ks that should be fine (and Blaydon is downhill !) BET, BET !! *After* set off too fast on a hot evening and paid the price, but still managed to knock 90 seconds off my pb, so I am very pleased ! Great atmosphere

Running Beard Bit hot and a bit slow - got held up at start and used too much energy getting passed slower runners and into my stride and there was no ham & p pud sarnie in my goodie bag! ;-(

Miss Sweden I got a PB for this race last year, 52:17. So I reckon I should be able to shave a few seconds off again, what with all my extra training I'm goign to do this year (she says, in January)

Hmm.... I was a bit optimistic, then wasn't I? Come race day i reckoned on 54 mins, so I was pleasantly surprised by the actual outcome. It was a HOT night though, found this quite hard.

Screeners Hard, hot, fast - didn't really enjoy this, not as much as I did last year. Really felt like I was struggling. But then I haven't done much training for it with one thing and another. Just chalk it up to experience I think.

Pegg Not sure what to expect with this one - last couple of runs have been hard work, but this is a shorter race distance than I am used to. Don't have the comfort of knowing the route though...

Really enjoyed it. Ran with Allien for the first couple of miles which helped no end. Hard work towards the end when I realised I could get in under an hour if I picked up the pace. Really pleased with my time.

geordiegirl It was very hot and humid and not been particularly fit at the mo I just took it quite steady. Had all things gone to plan at the beginning of the year I would have liked a sub 60 but I've not been too well so training had took a nose dive so quite seriously expected over 1h 15m. Very chuffed at the end to have done it in 1.05.
