FTP test next Monday or Tuesday and expect as always it will hurt. What do you mean by 100%? I’m using a wattbike, had it a few years but not as into it as I could be. Just realised what a tron bike is and want one. Fortunately a friend said to click on the Everest challenge, I did as I was told not quite seeing the point! Had a look when I found out Everest = tron bike and I’m 78% there ! |

In zwift you can set your trainer difficulty So if you are at 50 % and on a 10% climb it's actually only 5% |

When running zwift go into the my settings bit and provided you have connected your bike stuff up in the hardware section i think it is there will be a trainer difficulty slider. It's only accessable if you have your bike connected up with Zwift however. You can't change it any other time.

....but that's only for gear ratio purposes, you still need to push the watts to get up it So if you have it on 50% and push 200w for 10kph the only difference at 100% will be what gear you are in. |

wolves1877 wrote: Whereabouts is the setting please In the menu from within game, there is a tab for hardware settings, and a slider that allows you to set trainer difficulty. It defaults to 50% I believe. I'll usually have it at 50%, but will occasionally shift it, typically if I find I'm at the cusp of frequently jumping from little to big ring to hit the power/cadence combination I want. I've different cassettes and chainrings on different bikes and the turbo, and it captures things like my instantaneous aerodynamic position different to on the road, so it's already not giving a perfect one to one reflection of outside. Given that, I'll find a resistance that suits my intended session whilst putting me toward the middle of the block. |

Did my FTP test. I actually ended up virtually the same as the last test (326w). I'll hope to add 10-15 watts over the next 12 weeks.

@Hendo watts are watts for sure so it depends on your training goals I use 100% as I climb in the real world so need to put out watts at 50 cadence in the same way I can put out watts at 100 cadence @Foppotee nice numbers indeed, WKG ? I'm not looking forward to testing in a few weeks 😀 |
