I just hate the water. I tried for a while , even had a few good results in triathlons but at the end of the day I hated it

With swimming I enjoy the challenge of something I am not naturally very good at. It gives me a greater sense of achievement when I improve.
I organise a weekly zwift ride for the faster chaps in our club. Last night we did the Elevation Evaluation which takes you up the Grade after a few kms and then it's back down and rolling for about 15km. We went all out for the climb, regrouped at the bottom at which point I suggested we do 1 minute turns at whatever average we'd held on the climb.
There was only three of us this week so I quickly regretted this idea! I averaged 360w on the climb for 12 minutes and felt leggy so I'd like to get that up to 400w eventually. One of the guys did manage 402w.

Picking your battles really isn't it?
My collar bones and shoulders are destroyed from Ice/roller hockey so as well as being a bad swimmer I was in a lot of pain 😱
Those are big numbers my best 5 min this year is 380 and I'm happy if I see 10 mins at 340

Sounds nasty Gobi. I never got with any form of skating which now seems like a good thing!
5 mins was 370w last night, I did fade a bit as it went on and the 400w guy almost caught me at the end but I had aneough in the tank to up it! Obviously he's a good 10kg heavier.
