The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free.
But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient.
Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead.
Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?
Yes it's all about the personal improvement really, as in running, very few of us will ever have any prospect of setting the world alight with our performances but there's still a lot of satisfaction to be had in testing yourself and pushing your limits. IMO anyway. I'm delighted to be getting gradually stronger, it's really encouraging to see the numbers improve. And there's even VTTA standards to consider once they start to go down again
WW you could also look at 3C Tri. We're a bit more over Sandhurst/Crowthorne way, but fairly spread out. V v nice bunch, but then I'm biased
I'm stuck on an FTP of 218 @ 82Kg, but only ever done Alpe at the end of something else. Actually PB'd it at the end of HR much to my surprise, but still at 85mins. Long way to go to get anywhere near the hour but would like to get down towards 75mins. Am starting back into some proper running now anyway and the road bike will be out v shortly
First time up Ven-top this morning - 97.28. I was doing a long workout until about 2km from the top but it made a change from the Alpe which is what I usually use for my long efforts.
Gobi: Don't even need VTTA to be destroyed by vets here. If we exclude the one rider who's within about a minute of Tom Pidcock's course record on our club TT, the fastest regular is close to 70! There are some seriously strong veteran testers out there!
MM - I'm over 50 I am well aware of how many good vets there are but VTTA ranking can really push you down a table - where are you based ? We used to have an 80 year old who was still doing a 10 in 23 /24
According to ZP I won the TT this morning with just under 400 watts for nearly 8 mins.
