Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

48:12 @ 4.2 w/kg for me last time up there JDA.

Be sure to smash this not-really-a-cyclist skinny old man's time and set me an unreachable target (my FTP is up 20 since then so tempted by another go soon!).

My 49:17 was bang on 3.9, even tho it was a solo ride (TTT on new years' eve, but no nearby team mates). I think being heavy gives a slight edge even up hill (in terms of W/kg that is - I bet I did a lot more watts!), but I also paced that one nicely too. My aim is to set off about 4.3ish (350W) if legs are cooperating. I'm sure this is about the right ballpark but small margins can make all the difference as any marathon runner will know :-)

I've never done the ADZ full blooded. Always seems such a long time to be suffering!

my FTP is a MASSIVE 241

laughable!

Fopp, are you a TVT member? I'm thinking about a Tri club membership, just thinking, as a way to get some more cycling / Zwift buddies.

Yes Wool, I know a couple of people have joined recently off the back of the Zwifting, where they got involved on an ad hoc basis and then joined up. You'd be more than welcome on both Zwift and real life. When the latter resumes. 241 isn't laughable, especially at your weight.

I'm not laughing WW, mine is similar and I must weigh a lot more than you judging by Alpe times :)

9th C cat for me in Absa Cape Epic Stage 1 this eve - just a little half hour race up the volcano for some punchy fun.

My FTP is 238 (equates to about 2.2 w/kg at the moment). But it's a lot better than it was, which is the most important thing for me.

agreed Angus, I’ve been really happy to improve over the last few months. I’ve perhaps improved more than I deserve given how little time I’ve really given to it. Really wish I could find it in myself to give more, it’s great fun but I’m still a runner for now at least!

Thanks Fopp. Thinking about it...
