The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free.
But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient.
Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead.
Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?
First for me on Zwift today , I somehow wore the Green jersey after posting the day/hour/minute whatever's best time on the Lutece express sprint. I was only trying to nab my pb, but accidentally nabbed first overall (out of 129).
I'm sure you've all done this already at some point - they don't seem to be that hotly contested and my time wasn't that fast, but it was fun while it lasted - wearing the green jersey until 5 minutes later it was rudely torn from my back.
Yes exactly. Just invite a random contact, they don’t have to turn up.
Also useful if you want to fan-view a friend in an event on a closed world (assuming you can’t also enter the event, eg it’s secret or only for women).
I discovered the viewing thing at the weekend; my 15yo was attempting the Alpe for the first time so it was handy to watch him from the comfort of our fireside rather than in the freezing cold of the garage!!
That's just another area where the UI is completely useless; you should be able to bring up a list of your linked contacts and just click "watch", but if you use the "just watch" button all it does is throw you in to watch some random dude who you've no interest in whatsoever!
Yes I know it's like the terribly cludgy workaround for the hugely popular TTT that over 5000 ride in every week (oh and probably a lot more than that in the ZRL events too). It shouldn't really be all that hard to do team-only drafting and properly timed starts. But, guess having Mo turn up for a 5k run probably brings in more punters...
A significant PB on the Alpe tonight (46:55 at 4.15W/kg) but had been hoping for a little better. With the benefit of hindsight it looks like I probably set off a bit ambitiously but I wouldn't have known if I hadn't tried!
Nice effort JDA sub 47 is not a shabby effort at all.
Before coaching intervals I treated myself to a little hill climb tt at Innsbruck

Came 9th having started relaxed as I just wanted the climb , just got stronger as I went along but in the end the over cautious(lazy) start leaves me thinking what if....
