Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Nice one. Rode the Pretzel which a friend hadn't done.

I saw a group ride like that Big-G, L'Équipe something or other. But they were going to ride it too fast for me.

I joined in with the Head for Change rugby charity challenge instead. Raising awareness of brain injuries etc. Geraint Thomas was supposedly on the ride, but I never saw him.

AC, yes, that’s the group ride that I did. They’ve got a few group rides lined up over the coming weeks to help tick off certain routes. I think they’re doing The Pretzel in a couple of weeks, and ZwiftInsider are doing PRL Full next week.

That volcano loop is on my to-do list but I’m close to my tron so trying to focus on climbing for now. A proper bash at the Alpe is scheduled for Tuesday.

Bit frustrating to have a Bluetooth dropout in this morning’s race which dumped me out the front group and left me with a 30 min TT to hold off a chasing group of 9! Quite lucky in that it happened late enough that it probably only cost me a place or two to be honest. The Bluetooth thing has just started to cause problems in the last few rides so I’ll try switching to ant+ which most people say is more stable anyway.

I remember doing the 25 laps last year, we did a club 100km race which was basically a solo time trial, but with all the lapping on a closed circuit it turned into quit a motivating ride.

I did the Evo 160 today, rounded it up to 4 hours and ticked off the 100 mile badge. Madness that I've not got this before now.

I've also had a few BT dropouts, usually just of the speed sensor. Might have to dig out the ant stick if that's considered a more robust route.

The full PRL is really quite easy Big_G, it is a flat loop with a small kicker and a short and not overly hard climb. You just do it a lot :¬)

Target for the climb JDA ?

Fopp - I have rarely done 100 mile rides

I can’t imagine doing a 100 mile ride on a bike that goes nowhere. My first century ride is going to be outside and include coffee and lunch!! :)

Angus - done it on the PRL as it is over 100 miles but strangely only done a road 100 twice.

Now racing a single speed MTB that is a whole nother matter :¬)

I’ve done 4 outside rides over 250 miles 😀.

Loads of 100+

Oddly that PRL full we did 3 weeks ago was my first 100 inside, but lots around 80 ish.
