Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Picked up a second hand Wahoo Kickr Climb last weekend from a guy round the corner. First play tonight. It's quite fun and still a bit of a surprise when you're not expecting your handlebars suddenly to rear up! Hugely overpriced when new, but a nice addition to the set up so far.

Good one Big_G. Who did you ride with? Regarding the overshoot - everyone does it all the time although with time you will just learn how to adjust every so slightly so that you either don't or it is minimised. Welcome to the party

Bamber, thanks. After your post a few days ago, I signed up with The Herd, and was put into the Cheetahs. I did enjoy it and I think it may be a way for me to improve as well as have a bit of fun on Discord etc, whereas I reckon in a proper Cat B race I'd definitely be dropped from the lead group. Having not rode in a Herd event before I don't actually have the kit, so I'd like to rectify that before my next TTT.

I think the TTTs are a great way of learning and practising avatar control that comes in handy in normal races too. Learning how to close a gap smoothly and hold a wheel with min effort etc. It's probably 90% watts but there's still room for skill to play a role. And it's a great way to enable a mixed ability group to all ride hard together.

Nice one Big_G, TTT is one of my favourite sessions.

Mate of mine had something snap on his Kickr climb last week, are you able to still claim on the warranty if something goes wrong if bought secondhand?

Looks like a chilly start tomorrow so I might attempt one of the long routes on Zwift.

Well done Big_G they are a learning curve

Cath - you have spent a long time using the other bike, be patient and it will start to feel good. Just make sure your saddle is right and the seat height is correct. After that it is all about comfort at the front. Mine definately does not replicate my road set up.

oh ,our TT was a bit of a disaster

In Espresso as we have 2 aplus riders, we lost 1 due to a real life crash and then lost the other as he was in the pen on his own as we rode off. Team of 4 rode solidly but were caught by a team who then soft tapped past us and made it a very frustrating last few KMS - sadly it is the responsility of the caught team to drop back so we did and it cost us.

Completely agree with jda about avatar control. You get to understand how your avatar reacts when chasing a group in a race and riding as part of a group in a TTT. The last thing I wanna do in a race when trying to get back onto the blob is put in more effort than necessary and being able to give it some watts and then ease off an glide toward the blob is invaluable

The skill will come Big_G - just takes practice

Thanks Bamber/Gobi. I've entered for this Thursday as well.

A productive morning for someone like me who likes to tick of Zwift badges, as I got 3-in-1 today. I entered a group ride where it was 25 laps of the Volcano Circuit so I ticked off the 5, 10 and 25 "laps in one ride" badges, and I levelled up. Thinking about it, it would have been possible to pick up other achievements if I'd not already got them - i.e., first 100k etc.
